Five Easy Tips to Market your Business and/or Website on the internet...
1. Any Free directories you can find...I like about.com and just found greenlisted.org, do a search for your business tip and add it in.
2. If you have a blog, there are a few services that will add your blog for free to directories and feeds, check out freelinks.com...pretty cool...actually just found it researching for this article, but it stands on it's own...
3. Add your website to the local section on google, yahoo, and msn...it's all free.
4. Start posting on forums and online bulletin boards related to your business, basically becoming an online expert...and make sure your signature has a link to your website so if people are curious, they can look you up.
5. Social networking sites like Ryze, Myspace, Facebook, just to name a few...I've met a few good friends that way, as well as business contacts!
Check out Wallscapes in Wellington, Florida.
Michelle Starkey is an artist, specializing in murals. Her work can be found in and around Broward and Palm Beach County...her style is very nature oriented..and also very cool. I also enjoyed designing the book cover for her new book coming out in October called "Do You Know Who You Are?", an illustrative book of affirmations.
I uploaded quite a bit of my personal artwork to Lulu.com to buy as prints or digital downloads for use in projects...etc...Check out my "Yoga Alien"...he really is one of my favorites...
On another note, I took a Quantum Touch workshop this weekend. Quantum Touch is an energetic healing modality that uses the breath to send energy. It's "running energy". For the past five years, I have been a rather dorment Reiki Healer, dorment in that I only use it only for my friends, family, and my cat. This year I began taking classes again for healing and intuition developement, and Quantum Touch is one of them. I am not sure how all these new skills are going to be integrating with my web and graphic design business, but I am willing to find out...either way, it was a very cool experience.
